Happy Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Always from Further north Photography!

A little over a year ago I met an amazing woman named Liz.  I am grateful to be able to call her a colleague and a friend.  Liz juggles so much between her career, boys and civic engagements but is always there with an ear when I need to bounce something off her and offering wonderful advice.  This fall I had the pleasure of photographing my friend Liz and her HANDSOME three sons.  Such a fun family to spend the morning with!   Enjoy!

I just wanted to hop onto the blog and share a few photos from my recent travels. My husband and I found ourselves in Plymouth Massachusetts for our daughters graduation and we had a day with nothing planned.  It was an absolutely gorgeous, nothing but sunshine day so we decided to take the convertible for a little drive.  Cape Cod is a place I had never been and so we took the opportunity to drive out to the end of the Cape.

Our first stop was at the Cape Cod Lavender Farm in Harwich.   We were a few weeks early to see the fields of lavender in bloom but the gift shop and potted lavender were beautiful.  It was a nice spot to stretch our legs on the trails and break up the driving. If you ever find yourself near Harwich in the summer I suggest you stop in.  Check them out here capecodlavenderfarm.com

Continuing the drive we landed all the way out at the end of Cape Cod in Provicetown.  Checking that off the bucket list!  A very friendly town with great shops, restaurants, gorgeous beaches and an amazing bank of dunes; a trip to Ptown has to be on your list of places to go.  Make sure you arrive with time to walk way out on the breakwater!   For more information visit provincetowntourismoffice.org

We arrived back in Plymouth for dinner at the Waterfront Bar & Grill.  EVERYTHING on that menu is amazing, but if you go I recommend the Buffalo Chicken dip as an appetizer and the broiled scallops for dinner.  What did I have to drink?  You guessed it…  a Cape Cod!  Check them out at plymouthwaterfront.com

Steeped in history, the Plymouth waterfront has shopping, ocean view dining, manicured walking paths and parks, not to mention the Mayflower and Plymouth Rock!  Take some time to stroll around and take in the sites.  One could easily spend a day in Plymouth taking in the history lessons that surround you.  For more information visit seeplymouth.com

Don’t worry, I’m back in the Maine woods and will be staying here for a while!  Thanks for letting me share my adventure with you.  Senior Photography season and summer weddings have my schedule packed so check back often for photos and follow me on Facebook for more recent updates.  CLICK HERE to follow on facebook!
